When is the best time to book your Maternity session?

When is the ideal time to book your Maternity session?!

• First thing is Yay you're expecting a new bundle of joy Congratulations, but what's next??!! Whether this be your first child or 4th child each pregnancy is so different and so special, and you want to capture each of them <3. 

• So when is the best time frame to photograph you're beautiful growing belly? Typically, I recommend between 32-36 weeks along so I capture you and  that beautifully rounded belly!   However, based on your situation we can adjust before or after the typical 32-36 week time frame. The reason I choose between 32-36 weeks along is that your belly is getting to be this beautiful rounded belly which I just love to photograph, and then also I want you to still be comfortable in your own skin and be able to move pretty comfortably. (I've had two children, and I know sometimes it can be uncomfortable and harder to move around etc the further along you are). 

 What to expect during your maternity session:

• I will always discuss with you what your vision is for your maternity session. Do you want water in the background  (lake/pond), do you want a cityscape type of urban backdrop for your session, do you want a country laid back feel for your session? I've got you covered on all of these... Once we nail down what you are looking for backdrop wise then we can move onto clothing and attire! 

• When it comes to clothing I love having my mamas in a variety of outfits.... From Flowy/tight maternity gowns, too lacey gowns, too pants and a nice top or two. I always recommend at minimum too have 2 outfits one more casual and one more dressier outfit. I do offer 3 different maternity gowns that fit most women ( a purple/plum gown that is tighter fitting across chest/belly and long/flowy to the ground but full coverage, I have a white lacey/see through material that's form fitting, and then a white cotton tubetop that then moves into a flowy chiffon open front gown. If you're looking for a specific gown color or style let me know and I have a few friends that usually I can rent from Or I can point you in the right direction for buying one! 

• For your partner/spouse/boyfriend and/or siblings I recommend coordinating outfits. If you need help coordinating let me know and I can send over some color palette ideas! 

• How Long does a maternity session typically last? Usually my maternity sessions last anywhere from 1hr to 2hrs depending on if we are doing everything in one location or if we are using 2 locations close by to each other. I would allot extra time for travel etc so we'd still have ample daylight to get your session done! 

Session is done! Now what?!

• After the session has concluded I would go home download your images on my computer and begin to cull through them for the best of the best! My typical turn around time is 2-3 weeks on average, but could be a little longer if it's in my peak season time which I would make you aware of. But the best thing is you will receive a Sneak Peek in 24-48hrs YAY!! You will receive 15 edited images with your session that you choose from your online gallery, and that's already included in your session price. You will have the option to purchase additional images from your gallery or purchase your entire gallery at a discounted rate!
